Faye Oxley

Psychology BSc (Hons), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (PGDip).

I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with over eight years experience in working with people with common mental health difficulties such as depression and anxiety disorders. I completed my CBT training at Kings College London, and currently work as a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist in the NHS. Prior to this I have worked with people with learning disabilities, people with Dementia, people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME and with children on the autistic spectrum. I have also been involved in training other clinicians at Nottingham University. I enjoy using evidence based therapy to help each client achieve their individual goals.

I have worked within mental health for over 10 years. I currently work as a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist for the NHS and have worked in this role for over 6 years. I currently provide both 1:1 and group Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions in a primary care setting. I also work as a couples therapist for the NHS. I work with people who have a range of disorders associated with depression and anxiety. I have a particular interest in working with low self esteem. I am also currently training in couples therapy through the Tavistock. I have also been involved with delivering training in CBT interventions to other clinicians as well as GP's and other community groups.
